Its possible for God!

When the rich ruler asked Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life, Jesus told him to sell everything he had and give it to the poor. The man walked away, and Jesus exclaimed, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Those who heard this asked, Who then can be saved? Jesus replied, What is impossible with men is possible with God." [Luke 18:22-27]The point wasnt that wealth is bad or that money and possessions will keep everyone out of the kingdom of God, but that in this case, the rulers wealth was more important to him than the kingdom. Thats the danger--that wealth or power or position or prestige will stand in the way of truth. When we are lost, we sometimes fill the void in our hearts with the wrong things and leave no room for Christ. As we pray for the lost, we remind God of this truth--that no person, despite his wealth or circumstance, is beyond Gods ability to draw him to Christ. God will not make the decision for a person, but His Holy Spirit can get that persons attention, and help him understand how essential it is that he respond. The Holy Spirit is able to draw anyone, but each one must decide for himself. We must continue in prayer. We mustnt give up too soon, for Jesus said, "What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, and yet forfeits his soul?" [Matthew 16:26]
Pray with me now -- Father, how we plead for You to do whatever it takes to help the lost we love understand and respond to Truth. In Jesus name, amen.
