Safe from the fowlers snare

We know that Psalm 91 is an affirmation of the Lords willingness to protect us from Satan, when we read in verse three, "Surely he [God] will save you from the fowlers snare and from the deadly pestilence" [Psalm 91:3]. Is this promise for everyone? God has already been called by name in the first two verses of this psalm: El Elyon, our Most High God; El Shaddai, God Almighty; the Lord Jehovah, I Am that I Am; and Elohim, God, our Creator. The author of this psalm is addressing the all powerful, ever present, all sufficient Creator God, Who is willing to save those who choose Him as their shelter and protection, their refuge and fortress, their God in Whom they trust [Psalm 91:1-2]. When we come into Gods presence, acknowledging Him in that way, establishing our relationship with Him, praying for the protection of loved ones -- our first request must be that they will become His children. And if theyve already made that choice, we ask that they will not be content with a shallow Christian life, but will seek a deeper walk [Matt. 22:37-38]. Clearly, this Psalm offers protection from Satan to those who know and trust Him and who choose to dwell, to abide, in His shelter [Psalm 91:1-2]. Only Gods children, who come to Him through Christ, can do that [John 3:3,16; 14:6]. Everyone else belongs to Satan, until they choose Jesus [John 3:18,36; 5:24, 8:24, 44; 10:9]; they cant even discern spiritual things [1 Cor. 2:14]. Do we really understand that? Does it make a difference when we pray?
Pray with me now--Father, grant that our loved ones might all be born into Your kingdom through Christ. Deliver them from Satan, the fowler, in Jesus name. Amen.
