Father,

We know that as important as our prayers are to us, they are far more important to You. For reasons we cannot begin to understand, You in Your sovereignty have chosen to work through our prayers. We’re almost ashamed to admit what hard work it is to pray, and how difficult it is to find adequate time for prayer. Father, help us. In our weakness, be our strength.

You have given us the responsibility, and You have perfectly equipped us through Your Spirit, Who lives within us as our Spirit of prayer. He is our Helper Who takes hold of our prayers with us, and Who, when we don’t know what to ask, reads our hearts and Yours, and prays for us according to Your will for those we love.

Father, help us to learn to listen as we pray, and to have the discernment to know when Your Spirit is leading us. Give us assurance that our ordinary prayers are sufficient to release Your provision and blessing in this world.

We are made alive in Christ, Father, and we desire to be one with Him in His intercessions. We want our hearts to be one with His, and with Yours, as we pray.
